DELIVERY Delivery
Information:
We charge $5.00 for local delivery including Rockford, Loves Park, and Machesney Park.
Deliveries
outside of that area : Cherry Valley, New Milford, Rockton, Roscoe, We also provide delivery to cities in Stephenson, Boone, and
Ogle Counties in Illinois and Rock County in Wisconsin. Please call 815-282-4214
to get a delivery charge for a specific city and if you need an certain delivery time.
South Beloit, and Winnebago
have a $8.00 charge.
With the association of FTD and Qualatex we are able to accomplish
International deliveries.
We are excited to be able to cover the world and with
Teleflora and 1-800-Flowers we are able to increase our effectiveness.
1. RESIDENTIAL DELIVERIES
If the delivery is to a doorman building we will proceed under the assumption that someone will be available to accept the order. A doorman building is one with staff willing to accept deliveries for residents. This could be a doorman, a security guard, or someone in the management office.
For all other residential deliveries, we will call the residence and coordinate a delivery time which ensures that someone will be home to accept the order. If we are unable to reach someone by phone, we will leave a call-back number. As a general rule, we will not proceed until contact is made. If the call is returned late in the day, it may be necessary to reschedule the delivery for the following day. We will attempt to advise customers of delays related to their order. If it becomes apparent that we will not be able to complete a delivery because we are not successful in coordinating a delivery time, we will cancel and refund the order with no cancellation fee.
In very limited cases where phone contact has not been successful, the branch manager may exercise his or her authority to dispatch the order in hopes that someone will be there upon arrival. If no one answers the door the balloons may be left with a neighbor or placed in a secure area at the residence. In these cases we will advise the customer by email or phone, and advise the recipient with a phone message.
Because of the special effort required to complete most residential deliveries, it may not be possible to guarantee that the delivery remains a surprise to the recipient. If you require a surprise delivery, please call customer service to see if this service is possible with your order.
2. SCHOOL DELIVERIES - WE NEED PERMISSION
A giant bouquet of balloons being delivered to a student in class is a big disruption. For that reason, most schools require that all balloon deliveries be held for students at the front office. Unfortunately there are some schools that want no part of this fun and do not permit balloons on the property. Please call the school office for approval before placing your order.
3. HOTEL DELIVERIES (Personal Balloon Bouquets)
For security reasons we are unable to deliver balloons directly to the room of a guest. All hotel deliveries for guests are left with the concierge, the front desk, or the loading dock, depending on the hotel's policy. It is the customer's responsibility to contact the hotel and ensure that special requests related to their order are properly executed by the hotel. Once the balloons have been delivered to the hotel, We consider the delivery successfully completed. Because several hotel staff members can get involved in transferring the balloons from one part of the hotel to another, we accept no responsibility for balloons damaged during such transits.
For large event balloon decor we have more control than with individual balloon bouquets being delivered to hotel guests. The aforementioned policy DOES NOT apply to balloons being used for large special events. Please call for details.
4. DELIVERIES TO SECURE FACILITIES
In many high-rise office buildings and other facilities with restricted access, we are usually required to leave the balloons with a receptionist or security desk. We will attempt to advise the recipient that a delivery has been made and is waiting for pick-up.
5. HOSPITAL DELIVERIES
Hospital policies vary, and for that reason we are unable to guarantee that our staff will be able to make a delivery directly to the room of the patient. Most hospitals require that the balloons be dropped off at a security point and then delivered to the patient by the hospital staff. The staff may need to delay the delivery to the patient for any number of reasons. Please feel free to contact our main dispatch center if you have a concern about the whereabouts of your order.
PATIENT AVAILABILITY
Balloons and Flowers by Haley procedure is to contact the hospital prior to delivery and confirm that the recipient is still admitted and permitted to receive balloons. Customers will be contacted if the order cannot be delivered. At this point the order can be canceled and refunded.
If we are cleared by the hospital to proceed with the delivery, but the patient is subsequently discharged prior to our arrival, two options become available — 1) The order can be delivered to another local address for an additional delivery charge, or — 2) The order cannot be delivered and must be canceled. In this case, no refund will be issued.
HOSPITAL RESTRICTIONS
Latex balloons are banned from all hospitals due to latex allergy liability issues. Mylar (foil) balloons are usually acceptable. However, in some cases a particular patient may not be able to receive balloons. Customers should contact the hospital for approval before sending balloons to a patient.
